The Galena VolleyBear Classic has always been a key tournament in the schedule for the Lady Bears. To start off the tournament the Bears beat Southwest (2-0) and then Wheaton (2-0) then it came time to play Class 3 Monett. Monett was playing well and competing with the other teams. When it was time for the match to start both teams were nervous but the Bears used that to their advantage and won both sets 25-20 and 25-22. After that win the Bears kept the streak going with another win against Verona and Rush. 

After a long day of pool play the time came for the Gold bracket championship game Marionville vs. Galena. Marionville took the first set 25-20 but then Galena came back winning 25-23 unfortunately Marionville took the winning set 25-22. Both teams played great but Marionville played better. Galena took 2nd for the second year in a row.
