Galena High School Artist Weekly Spotlight - Addison Anderson

Mrs. Purkey has introduced the first Galena High School Artist Spotlight of this year! As a reminder, a new student will be chosen by random for an opportunity to showcase their art each week. The student will be selected by getting their name drawn if they decide they would like a chance to be selected for the Artist Spotlight.

This week’s artist is Addison Anderson! She is always enthusiastic about any project that is planned, and works hard to achieve the best results. The Galena High School is very happy to showcase her artistic abilities this week! One of Addison’s best projects is a Graffiti art design using her name with designs around it. The assignment's focus was to use line, proportion and shape with Graffiti letters in a creative and proportional way. Addison is said to have handled the assignment with grace and ease, while encouraging her peers.

If you would like a chance to be chosen for the Artist Spotlight, you can ask Mrs. Purkey to enter your name into the drawing. As Artist Spotlight continues throughout this new year, there will be more artwork to showcase! Artist Spotlight has and will continue to encourage the art students to showcase their hard work, and expand their creativity. Galena High School will look forward to what other amazing artwork will be featured in the following weeks to come!
