Galena High School Artist Weekly Spotlight - Joe Collins

Mrs. Purkey has introduced the Galena High School Artist Spotlight of this week! As a reminder, a new student will be chosen by random for an opportunity to showcase their art each week. The student will be selected by getting their name drawn if they decide they would like a chance to be selected for the Artist Spotlight.

This week’s artist we are honoring is Joe Collins! Joe is always working diligently at all his art projects. One of his most recent projects was a drawing of a gemstone using a multi-media approach with materials. Joe chose a unique color combination to show off the gemstone’s many facets. Galena High School looks forward to seeing many more wonderful artworks from Joe in the future! Great job, Joe! Keep up the great work!

If you would like a chance to be chosen for the Artist Spotlight, you can ask Mrs. Purkey to enter your name into the drawing. As Artist Spotlight continues throughout this year, there will be more artwork to showcase! Artist Spotlight has and will continue to encourage the art students to showcase their hard work, and expand their creativity. Galena High School will look forward to what other amazing artwork will be featured in the following weeks to come!
