In a highly anticipated matchup, the Galena Bears delivered an exceptional performance, overwhelming the Spokane Owls with an 87-67 win. The Bears showed their undeniable strength, maintaining a commanding lead throughout the game, leaving the Owls struggling to keep up. From the opening whistle, Galena established its dominance. Their offense was unstoppable, as they executed seamless ball movement and aggressive plays, leading to several fast-break opportunities. The Bears' defense was equally impressive, limiting Spokane’s offensive options and forcing multiple turnovers. Spokane simply couldn't keep pace with the Bears' speed and precision. 

A key factor in the victory was Galena's superior shooting accuracy, particularly beyond the arc. The Bears hit critical three-pointers that extended their lead and demoralized the Owls. Their bench depth also played a significant role, with players contributing in all facets of the game—whether it was scoring, playmaking, or defending. Spokane showed flashes of hope with a brief 11-point run in the third quarter, led by Kasen Blaue’s impressive three consecutive 3-pointers. However, it was clear that the Owls were always playing catch-up. Galena responded quickly, shutting down Spokane's momentum and asserting themselves once again with a series of well-executed plays.The Bears' combination of offensive firepower, defensive discipline, and depth made them the clear victors in this matchup. 

While the Owls fought hard, they were no match for the Bears' high-caliber performance. With this impressive win, Galena continues to solidify its position as one of the top teams in the conference. Some of the Bears leading scorers were Jack Stevens with a 30 point double double with 18 rebounds. Cody Jones also scored 28 points. The Bears will be in action next against the Blue Eye Bulldogs at Blue Eye Friday, February 14.
