Weekly Teacher Profile-Rick Hammers

Rick Hammers has been teaching here at Galena for two years, but he has been teaching for 30 years overall. He has been to three different colleges/universities. Those three being Labette Junior College, College of the Ozarks, and Drury University. The main reason he wanted to become a teacher was his love for baseball. Due to injuries in college he couldn't pursue baseball to any higher of an extent than college. 

 Mr. Hammers was born and raised in Saint Louis. He was able to make it to a good college and even played college baseball. Currently, he umpires for college and high school games. We as a school are very happy to have him teaching here. Next week for our interviews we will be interviewing Ms Heisler.
